What Is the Hearthlight Way?

Hearthlight Way Ministries is a personal Christian ministry devoted to the light of Christ, the comfort of sacred home, and the quiet strength of everyday faith.

Founded in love and lived through simplicity, this ministry reflects the deep spiritual heritage of my own family line—descendants of Appalachian preachers, Irish and Scottish Christians, and resilient Melungeon ancestors whose faith endured through hardship and history.

Here, I walk gently in their footsteps—offering prayer, pastoral care, and sacred encouragement for those who long for a faith that feels like home.

This is a ministry of softness in a hard world. Of shared meals, honest prayers, hand-mended hope, and the tender reminder that joy is still possible—right here, right now.

Our Ministry Identity

Hearthlight Way Ministries is not a church or a nonprofit. It is a personal expression of my calling as a Christian minister, shaped by the Gospel and grounded in the sacred rhythms of ordinary life.

I serve as a companion along the journey—lifting up Scripture, blessing the small things, and keeping watch for the holy in quiet corners. This ministry is not tied to doctrine or dogma. It flows from the example of Jesus: to love fully, to welcome freely, and to walk humbly with God.

There are no walls here—only the warm hearth of a shared spirit, and the welcome of Christ’s open arms. Here ALL who seek the heart of God are welcome.

Living the Hearthlight Way

We rise in quiet, light a candle, and open the Word of God.
A passage of Scripture, a whispered prayer, and stillness to begin the day—
with hope, with peace, with joy.

At noon, we pause—
to give thanks, to listen, to reflect.
A Psalm or Gospel verse carries us like soft light along an old, beloved path.

We bless our food.
We honor small things—
gardening, baking bread, writing letters,
sharing laughter, and caring for those we love.

At dusk, we return to prayer—
letting the flame burn low, not in fear, but in trust.
We rest in the promise that we are never alone, and never forgotten.

This is the Hearthlight Way:
a sacred rhythm of prayer, Scripture, simplicity, and grace—
rooted in Christ, carried by faith, and lived with love.
